Description
This gown is my first foray into period costuming. A Spanish nobel's gown based on a potrait of Princess Isabella of Portugal from the 1530's; it is the culmination of atleast a years worth of research.
The gown is complete with all of the period undergarments, which I plan on taking photos of a some point. It is made of a dark blue decorating brocade, and is trimmed in gold braid, trim, and many many beads. You can see the beading detail better in this photo

Here is the Portrait I based the gown on, it is Princess Isabella of Portugal. It is not supposed to be a reproduction, but rather inspired. The portrait was done in the 1530's

What did you do with the hair? I'm part of a Renaissance dance group and I'm still trying to research on the best hair style to match my gown, which is supposed to be Spanish Renaissance.
