Description

I originally came up with the idea for the dress because I bought some brown furry boots (the ones in the picture), I decided that since the boots were so cute that I'd have to make a dress based on them. The original design had a pink/brown/white tweed like fabric, but I couldn't find any like that, so I went with the blue/white/brown instead. I rather like how it turned out.

This dress used the same ugly thrift store dress as a pattern that I used for my "Victorian Rose" dress ([link]). This time I made the neckline strait, and rather then a lace up back, I did elastisized runching, which turned out really nice. I'll definally used it again in my future projects. The shirt was a thrift store find, I took off the sleeves and added the new puffy ones. I also made it more fitted and added lots and lots of eyelit lace. The coat I found at the mall for really cheap, because it had horrible red buttons, which I replaced with sculpy heart ones. I topped the outfit off with several accessories made from scraps of fabric left over from the dress.
