I made this dress for the Otakon Japanese Street Fashion Panel: Fashion Show. This dress is deffinatly my favorite one I have made so far. I was really careful about the lace selection and the fabric is just so pretty. I'm not sure if you can tell in the last picture, but the fabric has little victorian girls dancing on it. This dress used the same ugly thrift store dress as a pattern that I used for my "Victorian Rose" dress ([link]) and also my "Brown Fur" dress ([link]). This time I just used to for the top, and drafted a new pattern for the skirt part. Like with the brown fur dress, I squared the neckline and made the back shirred. The puffed sleeves where also a new addition to the pattern, and took several times for me to draft them right.
Materials used: Pink Toile, Various laces, Elastic, white Muslin, Ribbon, thread, Fake flowers |
